Students need to be linked to Trainers/Teachers/Supervisors. They can view the unit profiles and approve the profiling entries of the students assigned to them.
You may have already completed this step while creating a student’s account. If not, follow the steps below.
Linking a Trainer -
- Go to Users > Students >Filter users to find the student you’re going to edit.
- Select student, then select “Edit user” from the pop-up options.
- Select the Trainer/Teacher you wish to assign to this student from the list on the right-hand side by clicking the tick box.
- If no trainer/s is linked, all available trainers will be displayed
- If trainers are already linked, only these will be displayed
- To display unlinked students, use the alphabetical links to search
- To link, click on trainer name
Note - The icon beside the user’s name takes you to their account.
- Click 'Save'.
Linking a Supervisor -
The Supervisor will approve profiling entries and respond to Employer Support requests as well as view the profile of students assigned to them.
- Go to Users > Students >Filter users to find the student you’re going to edit.
- Select student, then select “Edit user” from pop up options.
- Select the Supervisor you wish to assign to this student from the list on the right-hand side
- If no supervisors are linked, all available supervisors will be displayed
- If supervisors are already linked, only these will be displayed
- To display unlinked students, use the alphabetical links to search
- To link, tick the box next to the supervisor
- Save
Note - Supervisors using the phone app, with notifications allowed, will receive push notifications for actions required associated with any linked students e.g. requesting approval, overdue entries, and Employer Support.
