Supervisor - Viewing and Interpreting Unit Profiles

As a supervisor, it can be beneficial to review a student's progress by looking over their Unit Profiles. Start by logging into the system and clicking on the My Students button.

On this page, you will see a list of students under your supervision.

Click on the desired student, then click on View Unit Profiles.

This will bring you to the student's unit profile, where you can view the units that make up the student's qualification.

A key option within this area is the ability to Print a Profiling Summary via the Print Student Profile button. You can also click on a unit to reveal additional information, separated into different sections:

  • Pie charts that provide visual representations of your progress
  • A breakdown of your Performance Skills related to the unit
  • A History Report that shows your past activities and approvals
  • An overview of your Activity Benchmarks
  • Notes related to specific Tasks within the unit

Within this area, both yourself and a student can view any ticked-off units, revealing details about how it was marked, and comments left by a user.

Students can also enter Comments on a unit if desired, choosing to notify a specific person if they'd like.

The Progress Completion bar shows a percentage of how far a student appears towards completion of their qualification:

There is also the option to View Profiling History. This allows both you and the student to view previously completed activities and items that have been approved by supervisor or trainer staff. This is most useful for confirming that the student has submitted what was needed for each week.

 Note

The Total Qualification Completed bar is calculated using Total Units Enrolled divided by Units Completed. If the progress bar is not showing the value you expect, you may need to reach out to your Training Organisation for help, as they may use a different calculation system.

In the case of a student noticing Missing Activities for a week, they have the option to go back and submit an Entry to get those Activities marked

Next Steps: Signing Off Student Activities

At the end of the week, students should submit their entries for Supervisors to sign off.
